Bellevue luxury home design: intelligent
The two drivers of Bellevue luxury home design
The two forces that drive Bellevue luxury home design are technological progress and environmental considerations, the latter of which is manifest in laws and regulations.
Bellevue luxury home design: three power sources
We comply with these rules by balancing compliance with the current status and anticipating future developments. When we hand you the keys to this intelligent home, you can decide what is best for you. As evidence, you need to look no further than the three power sources at your disposal: electricity, natural gas, and solar.
Our overriding concern is that energy be controlled efficiently, regardless of source. To that end, two heat pumps distribute warm and cool air to two parts of the home, each with three intelligently controlled zones. This reduces the time for air to be distributed and the length of ductwork, with fewer instances where duct runs reduce ceiling heights.
Intelligent home: CAT6 wiring for dual networks
Efficient distribution also matters as far as connectivity is concerned. The entire home has CAT6 wiring configured to serve two networks, one for external – the internet, and another for internal – personal network communication or any other need. Everything is set up to install a mesh network to serve your preferences.
Likewise, this Bellevue luxury home design features the pipes and inlets for a central vacuum system that a buyer who doesn’t prefer individual robot vacuums can implement. Also, with options in mind, the three-car garage is wired to serve e-vehicles regardless of brand.
Bellevue luxury home design: elevators are standard
The elevator has become a standard convenience in our Bellevue luxury home design. Like our last Bellevue luxury home, The Nest has a three-story elevator. This one is hydraulically powered, making little noise and offering quick rides.
Lights, comfort, and security
The Lutron RadioRA 3 system controls lights and other radio frequency-connected devices. Power outlets are installed under the eaves to let you spread Holiday cheer. The security system assures instant communications with the residents and responsible authorities.
You stay warm on the covered decks with built-in Infratech infrared flush-mounted heaters. Inside, natural gas makes the fireplace glow.
Central Control of the Intelligent Home
While you are in control of The Nest, most systems and devices have been “set to forget.” You can set them up and override or fine-tune them on the iPad installed on the main floor.
Our Bellevue luxury design plans include flexibility
Since we do not know the buyer in advance, we design certain rooms with a variety of uses in mind. One example is the media room for our last Bellevue luxury home.
The room was completely soundproofed and equipped for any entertainment. It also featured an exterior door so someone could join the party without walking through other parts of the home.
As it turned out, the home buyer dedicated the room to a singular purpose and has been using it as a home cinema. While heavy curtains now darken the room, the exterior door still serves a purpose. It allows the family dog access to the yard, and we were happy to convert that part of the yard into a dog run.
The Nest features a soundproof media room, with the central focus being the screen. In contrast, the “mobility room” next door has been designed for a variety of activities. What both rooms have in common are cabinetry with sinks and refrigerators.
The wine cellar next door is configured to be climate-controlled. As is, it serves the casual connoisseur but can be equipped to meet the demands of an ambitious oenophile.
